Nippon Sharyo, a major international manufacturer of passenger rail cars, has opened an expanded, state-of -the-art manufacturing facility at their location in Rochelle, IL. According to Governor Pat Quinn, the production capabilities comply with the federal “Buy America” program, with 100% of the components used on the cars being American-made. The facility will provide fabrication, welding, and assembly, all in a single location. 90 new jobs have been created at the facility as a result of the expansion.
