Last week McHenry students got an excellent opportunity to see what is new in the world of advanced manufacturing, as well as a glimpse of what will be in store for the future by attending the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) at McCormick Place in Chicago. The trip was sponsored, in part, by McHenry County manufacturers and the McHenry County Economic Development Corp and brought 1,200 students to the event. The hope was to open young eyes to the possibilities for the future of this expanding and exciting industry which is vitally important to the McHenry area, as well as to the the entire state.

Read firsthand accounts of the event, including some specific student experiences, in the Northwest Herald.
