The Elgin Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a “Manufacture Your Future” event at the Gail Borden Public Library. The event brought together professional local manufacturers, government officials, Elgin Community College students, and faculty to showcase the strong and growing state of advanced manufacturing in the area. Students had an excellent opportunity to speak directly with professionals about their experience in the industry. Other area schools also participated to see the possible career options that are available in the field of advanced manufacturing.
