The Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute broke ground on Thursday. The facility will be the headquarters of University of Illinois Labs, and will become a center of product development and manufacturing, connecting the University, the city, and major companies and government offices throughout the state. The space will include digital manufacturing space, classrooms and meeting rooms.
