A new manufacturing boom is set to hit Northern Illinois. The Rockford Area Economic Development Council, a group of over 700 business and community leaders, recently met to discuss the future of the area. Part of the discussions involved the changing nature of manufacturing, incoming area businesses, and the addition and retention of jobs in advanced manufacturing.
