Northern Illinois University will be hosting another event as part of its STEM Cafe series, this one to showcase 3D printing technology. The STEM Cafe is a monthly series of outreach programs designed to help “engage the community in life-long learning.” 3D printing is an exciting and growing industry, using additive manufacturing for a wide range of products, including everything from car parts to body parts. On April 7, experts from NIU and EIGERLab will present “The 3D Printing Revolution.” The event takes place from 6pm to 8pm at The Olympic Tavern, 2327 N. Main St., Rockford, IL. This is a great opportunity to speak with STEM professionals about the latest in the industry. The event will be followed by a tour of EIGERLab, where attendees can see some innovations firsthand.

STEM Cafe is free and open to the public. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
