Harper College student Hasan Fetahi has been selected to participate in NASA’s Community College Aerospace Scholars project. The program invites 240 community college students from across the country to attend a five-week program which includes group projects, interaction with NASA engineers, tours, and events at Johnson Space Center in Houston. As part of the program, students will form fictional companies with full infrastructure plans and budgets to develop a rover for a Mars exploration mission. Part of Fetahi’s acceptance was based on plans he submitted for a rover similar to Curiosity, showcasing his expertise in physics and chemistry.
