The Fabricators and Manufacturers Association Intl. (FMA) recently presented Harper College in Palatine, IL with a $500,000 grant. The grant is to support Harper’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology program as well as the Harper College Promise Scholarship program. Part of the grant will be added to a planned $1.5 million 6,000 square foot expansion of Harper’s current manufacturing lab. The lab will add new lasers, turrets, press brakes, and robotic welders. The expansion is expected to be completed in November 2015.
