The first National Maker Faire recently took place in Washington DC. The event hosted makers, students, and corporate sponsors from all over the world to see and hear the latest about what is going on in the maker culture. The event included presentations and displays on a wide range of new technologies, including control systems, robotics, a variety of things created with 3D printing such asĀ prosthetics and electric cars, drones, pinball games made of laser-cut recycled cardboard, and more. Also of note were numerous concepts that have been brought about via crowdfunding. This article features many photos taken at the event showcasing displays of some very interesting creations.
