Danville Area Community College (DACC) recently received $25,000 in scholarship funds to be used towards the study of advanced manufacturing. The fund was presented by the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) Education Foundation. DACC is one of six community colleges being awarded scholarships by the Foundation this year. According to Dave Kietzmann, DACC Vice President of Instruction and Student Services, “we’ve invested quite a bit in manufacturing pathways. There’s an interest in manufacturing careers now, and there’s been an upswing in enrollment in that pathway.”
