Google, City Colleges of Chicago, Chicago Public Library, and Northern Illinois University were among 20 partner organizations that recently hosted the Chicago Geek Street Festival. The event was developed to introduce kids to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) fields. 5,000 kids participated in activities focused on exciting new technologies, such as virtual reality, robotics, and 3D printing, and they had a chance to meet with industry professionals.
