Prairie State College recently opened its SouthWorks MakerLab. The lab was created through the partnership and joint efforts of INAM (Illinois Network for Advanced Manufacturing) and SouthWorks MakerLab Network. The Chicago Heights lab houses 3D printers and scanners, welders, electronics, mills, lathes, and prototyping equipment. These can be used for a variety of interests and project types including recreational and business. The lab plans informational sessions, camps, and youth activities in the near future.
