US Senator Dick Durbin recently visited the Technology & Manufacturing Association (TMA) of Illinois in Schaumburg. Durbin toured the training facilities and classrooms and met with manufacturing students, faculty, and professionals. He said “TMA is a leading voice for manufacturing … these workforce initiatives are helping close the skills gap and are preparing a new generation of workers for good-paying jobs in the manufacturing industry.” TMA Board Chairman Fernado Ortiz said, “it is important that our elected leaders understand not only the challenges we face, but also the successes we continue to achieve.”
