Jamie R. asks…

Q:  Which one of the Welding or CNC certifications would offer me the best and highest salary potential?

A:  It truly depends on your abilities.  An excellent welder could make the same as an excellent CNC machinist but you need the right mental attitudes to be successful.  Take welding for example.  If you have a steady hand and can prove yourself capable of Mig, Tig, overhead and vertical weldings, you can find employment midway up the Career Ladder.  And for CNC, if you have an eye for detail, have a good grasp of mathematics, and take pride in producing something of high quality to exacting measurements, you will succeed in CNC.  But the less of these capabilities you have, the lower on the Career Ladder you will start and the more difficult it is to compare wages.
