Joliet Junior College is receiving a grant of $378,361 from the US Department of Education. The grant will fund TRIO Student Support Services for lower income students, first generation college students, and individuals with disabilities, and it is the second largest TRIO grant in the state. According to US Rep Bill Foster, “the funds provided through this grant will help many disadvantaged students prepare for their careers and build better lives for themselves and their families.”
