This article highlights some of the great opportunities that exist for students who choose to study for careers in manufacturing. Gerardo Campos studied at Harper College and now has a successful career as operations manager at Innovative Components, where he oversees 100 people. The company opened its doors to the public for tours on Manufacturing Day to showcase the high tech nature of the industry, the need for skilled workers, and the opportunities that exist now and in the foreseeable future.
