Kankakee Community College (KCC) recently signed an agreement with Northern Illinois University (NIU) to facilitate student transfers for some technical programs. The agreement will make it easier for KCC manufacturing and technology students to continue on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree at NIU’s Applied Manufacturing Technology program (in the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology). Students earning an Associate of Applied Science degree from these fields can earn their BS degrees online from NIU. KCC President Dr. John Avendano said, “Our alliance with NIU will help grow the workforce in our community”
